What do you think of guys wearing Birkenstock Rio sandals?

I already own the Birkenstock Milano style sandals. I just wanted to try something different for once and the Rio style are really comfy! I know that this style is unisex but I have not seen any guys wear them before! They come in black, blue, brown, silver, red and white. I obviously decided between the blue, black or brown and went for the blue.

Yeah, but if you check out Birkenstock sandals for men, the Rio isn’t listed. They really for chics. The straps are kinda skinny to be a guys sandal. I’d get another pair of Milanos if you want the heel strap. You can probably get a good deal on eBay. I’ve never seen a guy in a pair of Rios. I hardly ever see guys wear Birks period which is too bad. They’re really good sandals.

Well I already own the Milano style (which is starting to age) and I don’t like the Arizona because it doesn’t have a heel strap and I like my foot to feel more secure.

I can’t really see anything wrong with guys wearing them though. I guess that’s why they come in the various colours. I would never wear them with long pants also, I only wear sandals with shorts.

Not for guys. Stick with the Milano or Arizona.

I’m not sure what siteyou have visited but I have emailed Birkenstock in various places and they have all told me that the Rio style are unisex - they even go up to like size 45 or 49 or something like that.

You might be onto something when you said the straps are too skinny. They are a little thinner but I don’t think they’re ‘too’ skinny. Thanks for your opinion!
