What do you do when your boyfriend goes to prison?

I have been with my boyfriend for about 3 years. He has been in jail a few times since we met, but it is never for very long. I think the longest has been 2 months. Now he is going to be gone for a year. He is there for unpaid fines. I love him and I want to be with him, but I am so unhappy without him. I feel selfish for having such a hard time with this. Husbands leave their wives all the time for the military. I don’t have a problem with needing someone by my side all the time I’m just hurting. All we get to do is talk over the phone, and that sometimes doesn’t even go well. He say’s I get hateful with him. I don’t mean to be hateful. I want to be with him I just don’t know what to do anymore.

okae I had a boyfriend that was always going to court for stuff and I stood by his side everytime buht then I started to feel like you did so I talk to him and I told him”I love you with all my heart and you know that but how can we make thiss last if you cant stay outta trouble I get tired of crying everytime you go away because its hurting me I cant sit around and wait for you forever” and neither can you there only so much of that you can take in say you guys have kids who gonna be left talking care of them you are and its no far to you.so its not that your being hateful your just tired of being alone and if your husband cant get his act together for you guys marriage then I dont think you should be with him you deserve someone who will be there every step of the way because thats what marriage is about and he cant be there for you if he’s always locked up think about it hun you have needs 2…
