What do I pick, a sport high school or a private high ?

I go to the best private high school in my area but I also am a representitive basketball player, I would love to go to a sport high school but they would never let me. Finall they said I can try out if I want but they seemed dissapointed in me. I dont know what to do, I mean I love basketball and I would love to succeed more in it but I dont know weather a sport high school is worth giving up my spot in the best school in my area and what happens if I dont succeed in basketball,then what am I going to fall back on? Help pleasee!!

I would go with public sports hs because there is more competition between schools and other people trying out for the team but then again a private school is better academicaly

I go to a private catholic school . I really like it . because there are less students you get more attention on what you want to do individually . our sports teams arent bad either . im a cheerleader . even tho my schools team didnt do so well ( because we had a bad rep and no one wanted to join ) joining two years ago gave me the skills to be able to compete on my provincial team now . my vote is private . though be warned drama gets way out of hand .
