what do I do, my parrots tail has fallen out?
We have an alexandrine parrot, and today I awoke to find all her tail feathers on the floor, she looks like a circus freak- her face is quite grey, her eyes her reddish and she is generally quite ill looking and messy. im scared as she is only 3.
obviouslt she needs to be seen by a vet. you should have thought of that first, be responsible if your going to own something that has a LIFE
Take her to a vet. It could be that something pulled out her feathers during the night or that she did it herself. In any case, it is really painful for them. Get her some medical attention straight away.
All you can do is take her to a vet. The sooner you do it, the more chance that they will be able to heal her, so phone around some local ones today and see if they open Sunday. If not then just go in with her tomorrow. We can’t diagnose your parrot over here, but a professional will do all they can to help her.
