What do I do about my teacher who wont beleive me?

My english teacher claims that she “knows us all as writers”, and knows if we took anybodys elses work, and if it isnt our writing. I have to admit I am a pretty good writer (not to be conceited or anything) but we never wrote anything in her class that she ever looked at. We have to write an extra credit essay and I wrote it already it really good in my opionion (used mature wording, stuck to topic, did everything she asked, good grammer, etc..)Which is my normal writing, but I dont think she’ll beleive its my writing!! I dont know what to do!

It’s a little strange for you to be assuming that she will think your work is plagiarized simply because you did a good job. In fact, it’s VERY strange, especially without any past history of her acting this way towards your work. This makes the cynic in me think that your work actually IS plagiarized and you’re looking for ways to cover it up.

But let’s take you at your word. You still have nothing to worry about. A teacher can’t just assume that something is copied and fail the student. They need proof. That is, they need to be able to compare it to the original work, and since she won’t be able to do that, you’re safe.

Finally – and please don’t take this the wrong way – if the writing in your question is anything to judge how you write your assignments, you don’t have anything to worry about. With the number of spelling, grammar, and punctuation mistakes you managed to make in a few short sentences, I doubt any teacher would think your work was stolen.

Show her all drafts, and editing as well as the final copy. She cant debate the progression of your writing. Also I would have her up about not checking your work as you are writing. How is she assessing your work? This sounds lazy? and how is she helping the individual needs of the students, and helping you all to develop your writing?
