What do I do about my friendship with this girl?

I’ve known this girl for a while since about seventh grade and we have been friends. Well recently we both confessed liking each other and I am too afraid to ask her out. I don’t know if she is playing me or not because one of her friends did that to me. She flirted and carried me up higher until I asked her out, then she shut me down hard and said it was all a joke. I was embarrassed and my self-esteem went down pretty low. I don’t want to be rejected. But I also don’t want her to think I don’t like her if I don’t ask her out. How do I solve this?

Realize that most girls wouldn’t do that. If your afraid of asking a girl out, your going to regret not doing it when after a while someone else does and she says yes bcos you waited too long and she got the impression that you didn’t like her. You just need to face your fears and ask her, soon.

This has happened to me, if I were you just tell her how you feel ad ask if she feels the same. If it does end up being a joke just say something like you “don’t care” or “very funny” and roll your eyes or something like its childish. Either way its better to go for it then maybe miss out on something that could of made you really happy :) and remember if it does end up being a joke, then thats really childish and stupid of her because if ends up hurting you then shes not the girl for you… Hope I helped and good luck! :) ~Emmaline~
