what could this be? could it be a miscariage?

my mate has been really worried, she thinks she may have had a miscariage but is not sure. thought id post it on here to see if any one could help this is how she explained it; *well, I kept getting camping pains when I was ill, then I come on, which I didnt think anything of because I didnt think I was pregnant, but then in the bath,I was like washing myself and as I did, it come out, like a 4 to 5 cm long rubbery, goey, kinda like blot clot type thing come out, and that was like a day after the brown discharge,

can anyone help?
