many pet stores “hire” for people to volenteer to come in and play with the puppies and take them outside…the one right down the street from me does here. YOu could check them out and also check out your local humane society and see if you can volenteer there in any way…my neice used to and she is younger than you. You could also set up your own web site to help a cause like the humane society or start a program at your school or in your neighborhood of collecting aluminum cans for cashing in and bring the proceeds to the humane society or like the one we have here, they actually will take cans at the site and cash them in themselves. It’s great that you have a passion and love for animals. I always have too and am now FINALLY going to school to become a Vet Tech :)

Answer #4

‘I volenteer at the pet store calle petland its really fun you could try that!’

I am ceratin you are a nice young woman who believes you are helping. BUT understand this…Petland Pet Stores are some of the WORST sellers of puppymill dogs and have a HORRIBLE reputation in the animal community.

Do a little research about puppymills and you will find that the cute puppies at Petland come from horribly abused parents.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THAT ANYONE WHO CARES ABOUT ANIMALS VOLUNTEER OR WORK AT A STORE THAT SELLS ANIMALS.

And yes, they have adoption events and spay/neuter initiatives but that does NOT make up for the harm they continue to bring to the animal community.

Answer #5

See if you have a local animal shelter near you. Maybe you can help out there and you can have your parents there with you. That would be a good start. I’m planning to do the same thing

Answer #6

I am an animal rights activist busting puppymills, etc. I work mostly undercover. I suggest you visit the HSUS teen website.

http://www.humaneteen.org/

It is one of the best around for REAL work and information about what teens can do for animals…going far beyond donating food. That is important also but some like to be a little more activist minded. Good luck.. And remember… ALL cruelty is cruelty…don’t divide it into animal, child, etc…it is ALL cruelty and must be treated as such.

Answer #7

You could go to a local animal shelter, they might need volunteers, also they are almost always in need of donations, you could collect door-to-door and even see about organizing a walkathon or something. You can also donate bags of food, blankets, bowls, etc. Plus go to www.theanimalrescuesite.com- there is a feature you can add to your email where you click to fund food (paid for by sponsors) plus lots of stuff you can buy, with the money going towards donations. Good luck and good 4 you for wanting to help animals! :)
