When im older// and start doing course work and stuff, I really want to work + help young disabled children but im a child myself so I cant really do anything to help myself be successful in this area right now? Basically I would like to know what could I maybe do or study now, im only 13. Also if not that then I wanna work in child care / social care. Thanks x
If you could get experience in that area, it would be a great help for you. Where I live, we have special olympics for disabled children and when I was at school, we would go and help them. Volunteer work for that kind of thing would help you. Also when you are about 15ish you could volunteer to help in play centers and pre schools. The experience would be very helpful. You would learn the different personality types of children earlier than everybody else that wants to do this job. I work with a disabled girl, but honestly I don't actually see her as disabled. She's the most amazing child I've met.
