I think I need to talk to someone.. My counselor is a guy, and I'm all depressed and upset not because of anything that has to do with school.. will he still talk to me? im not quite sure what to do. I don't know if I'm confortable talking to a guy what should I do? I think I need to talk to a professional.. but how..?
You've been feeling like ths for a long time now and you know you do have to talk to someone, angel. He's a counselor and he's trained to not alienate you :) Tyra is right - use him as the starting point and I think you'll feel a little better just knowing that progress is about to be made. Otherwise you're going to make yourself sick with unhappiness. Take a chance, and confide in him. It doesn't matter that its not about school.
This is a priority for you. Wouldn't you agree?
your councellor will talk to you about whatever is wrong... he may need to refer you to someone else for further sessions, but he will still talk to you. If you dont want to talk to a guy, tell him... he wont take it personally... just say you'd rather talk to a female... he will suggest something... telling your parents is another option
