What: can a contractor make you pay for,,?
Can a contractor make you pay for services that were not ok’d by a home owner? Im getting my house remodeld and the final bill we already paid him but now he’s charging us more for dumping services we already said no to. Can he do that?
It really depends on the state you live in…the problem with contractors, though is if they have a right to charge you for services that you dont’ pay for, they can put a lein on the house (similar to a home mortgage).
Try to discuss it with them calmly and see if you can resolve it, if not, talk to a lawyer or similar professional so that you don’t end up in a bad situation.
