Answer #3

1)gay marriage

I don’t want one, but I see no reason to stop others who do.

2)sex before marriage

Yes, thanks.

3)abortion

It’s up to the mother. If I was a woman and had had an unwanted pregnancy, I’d do it.

4)death penalty

I’m ok with the principle, but in practice it depends on a trustworthy justice system, which does not exist, so I’m opposed to it.

5)Religion

No thanks.

6)Politics

I’m a libertarian.

  1. Suicide

The day I need an adult diaper.

Answer #4

I think gay marrige is perfectly fine. No one should be punished for who they are. Im not against sex before marrige at all. I think people have the right 2 decide. I also think politics are BEAUTIFUL! I love em. I think abortion is just wrong. If your mom didnt abortion you and if you got pregnant at an early age its your fault. The baby should have a chance to live.

Answer #5

1,2,5 and 6 are ok to my knowledge

Answer #6

So, what are your opinions on… 1)gay marriage

I have no problem with gay marriage or a gay relationship or whatever. I do however feel that the same principles I.e. faithfulness, should be applied in all relationships.

2)sex before marriage

I have no problem with sex before marriage or sex for that matter AS LONG as it is two adults and not teenagers who is doing it and protecting themselves and one another. I personally believe that sex should be between two adults in a stable, committed relationship.

3)abortion

I’m pro-choice, mainly because of the country I live in and the starvation and poverty that I have seen. I feel that it should be a woman’s right to choose what to do with her body in her circumstances.

4)death penalty

Generally I do not agree with an eye for an eye. Murder is murder, whether is is allowed by law or not. However on the other hand, the death penalty does work in some countries and scares people into not doing crime. And I am not particularly happy knowing that my tax money goes towards providing food and a place to stay for murders, rapists, thieves etc.

So I suppose you could say that I have conflicting viewpoints on the issue.

5)Religion

I have no problem with any religion AS LONG AS the respect other people’s belief. Everyone should have a right to believe what they want to.

6)Politics

Lol. Depends on the politics. I am not that much interested in politics. I do keep up to date about what happens in the world, yet I don’t care that much to go into debate. I find it something to yawn about (in general)

  1. Suicide

This is a difficult and sensitive topic. I don’t think that people understand how it is to suffer from terrible depression and feel like there is nothing to live for. A friend of mine’s brother killed himself a few months ago. At age 7 he was diagnosed with major depression (a genetic thing).

He was also headboy of the school he was in, involved in charities, played sports, did well academically, yet he couldn’t get over the black cloud around him. He was using medication that made him feel like a zombie, was in and out of specialists offices on a daily basis to get medication to help him, but nothing helped.

He then decided to kill himself in order to escape his life. I don’t feel that suicide should be encouraged, however I do understand why people do it and sometimes doesn’t matter what they do, they still can’t escape the depression. So I don’t think that it is always a selfish thing.

I also have a brother who struggles with depression and have struggled with it myself for a few years(I was lucky to get over it). So I know how it feels to feel that you have nothing to live for (even if everything seems so good to others). I therefore will never ever judge people who commit suicide.

Answer #7

1)gay marriage- Don’t condone the idea, as I don’t like the entire concept of homosexuality(and not for religious reasons), but what you do behind closed doors is your business so long as I don’t have to hear about it.

2)sex before marriage- Think it happens way to often, way to early, and often before people are mature enough to understand all of the physical and emotional consequences. 75% of relationships that involve premarital sex fail somewhere down the road(about 50% break up within a year, and 50% of those who remain together end up divorced somewhere down the road.) But there’s still that 25% left, so it’s your choice.

3)abortion- Except in instances where the mother and/or child are in significant danger of losing their lives, I do not condone it. There’s always adoption, and yes, 9 months sucks, but you’re the one who spread your legs most of the time. You have a choice, yes: the choice to commit sexual intercourse with a partner of the opposite sex. In the case of assault rape pregnancies(which are EXTREMELY minuscule), it’s not necessarily the child’s fault, and you’re not required to take care of it after he or she is born.

4)death penalty- Would save a lot of money in the long-run, and would take care of a lot of dangerous criminals. People say that life in prison is worse, but if that were so, why do most criminals seek the life in prison rather than death? Because they can adapt, and in the cases of associations with organized crime, they can still be active participants for their associates or underlings. However, I think this should be ultimately reserved for the most dangerous of criminals, as there have been people wrongfully imprisoned for years before new technologies came out that proved their innocence.

5)Religion- Believe what you wanna believe. We all have that right, and I think that people who are against it and put it down are as bad as those who are for it and shove it down each others throats.

6)Politics- A necessary pain in the butt that’s grown way to big. Smaller, less controlling governments everywhere would save the world a lot of trouble.

  1. Suicide- It’s selfish. It pains anyone associated with the person, causes them to question their own worth and abilities. It’s about control, ultimately. The person thinks they’re not in control of their life, and in the end, take the one thing they believe they’re in control of to try to show the world this.
Answer #8

Gay marriage? Well I’m torn. I don’t believe it is right but than who am I to say that. I choose to not condemn people who choose to do so.

Sex before Marriage? For myself I am waiting till my wedding night. I believe sex is something so special that I want to share it with the man I choose to be with for the rest of my life and wait till my wedding night. I do not have anything against anyone who does though. I just feel that if we do have sex before marriage we cheat ourselves.

abortion? Well I have seen a video of an ultrasound showing an abortion. The child was opening its mouth for inaudible screams. The pictures have burned in to my memory. But again I have nothing against anyone who chooses to do so. I choose not to do it for myself. It hurts me that the child has to be punished and die.

death penalty? well I’m torn on that too. I once saw a bumper sticker that said “ why do we kill to show that killing is wrong?” and I believe it makes a good point. But I don’t know.

Religion? well I am a Christian so I’m all for it! =) I’m a newbie too! and I have never felt such happiness before!

Politics? … politics is so corrupt the more I learn the more I wish I hadn’t.

Suicide? Tragic I wish with all my heart it wasn’t a problem. Perhaps it is selfish but we all are. No not all of us commit suicide but we do other things that are selfish. Who thinks of other people when they are depressed? I wish life didn’t feel so lonely and depressing for anyone.

Answer #9
  1. I think gays should be allowed to marry. The idea that it is an “alternative” lifestyle gives the illusion that it’s some sort of choice…I think people are born gay, and if they had a choice they certainly wouldn’t choose a lifestyle fraught with controversy, social barriers, etc etc.

  2. Damn few people make it to marriage before having sex…Let’s say it would be nice if more used birth control, and we had less teen mom’s.

  3. I’m pro choice ONLY because women would have abortions anyway. I grew up with back alley abortions, and women died. For myself? Absolutely NOT. A baby is a baby…the “clump of cells” idea I hear is BS. A two month fetus is obviously human, not a puppy, not a piggie…not a frog.

  4. I fully support the death penalty, for henious crimes. Altho, only with physical evidence…

  5. Religious freedom is what brought many people to this country.

  6. Politics? Not for dinner discussion :) I’m old enough to see history repeating itself in my own lifetime…over and over and over.

  7. I also view suicide as a desperatetly selfish act…A permanent cure to a temporary problem for so many suicides… It’s not something that can be “judged”, since we cannot walk in that person’s shoes.

Answer #10
  1. It should be legalized! It’s a constitutional right to declare what your religion is, and when certain Christians block the rights of gays it’s unjust.

  2. Sex before marriage a personal choice, sometimes based on your religious beliefs or moral values. I don’t care either way. I’m not a virgin and I’m not married. I just think sex is 100 thousand times better with someone you love and care about, because otherwise people might feel used.

  3. YES!! I am very pro-abortion. If a pregnant teenager wants an abortion, she should be able to get one, even if she made the stupid mistake of no protection. No protection is 100% effective. So even if they used birth control and Mega-Awesome condoms there’s a .00001% chance of getting pregnant. So really if that girl was the .00001%, should she have to suffer? Plus if the teenager is stupid enough to not use protection then that’s a sign of how good her parenting skills would be. Usually the less-educated ‘’ghetto’’ areas (scuse the stereotype) are where all the unwanted pregnancies happen. And if those kids are born they’ll grow up ghetto too, and wouldn’t we want to stop the lower class community from growing? We should work on giving children good homes to grow up in so they can be good people and aren’t scarred. Some of those kids grow up to be criminals. And so abortion ruins 1 person’s future to save 2 others. I.e. the parents over the kid. 3 futures would be ruined if abortion was not an option. Above all I still strongly believe it’s a personal choice.

  4. Not sure about this one. I think death for some criminals is an easy way out when they would suffer more with life in prison. Other cases, I think it’s too harsh a punishment. I also am thinking it is a form of murder, but again, not sure on that one.

  5. Religion is definitely a personal choice. I respect anyone and everyones’ views and I am Agnostic. I don’t know any answers there so I’ll wait until the end and accept the truth for what it is.

  6. Politics are a little boring. But I think the reason America’s economy is so bad and isn’t changing is because we’re just sitting here complaining and aren’t willing to give up something and SACRIFICE to put the effort into a better economy. Look at the 1930’s Depression. That was much worse but America survived through it greatly because we all helped each other through everything. We were selfless when in this moment and day we are selfish, expecting one man who is only human to change it all for us. Obama may be a good speaker, but he is not magical.

  7. I also think this one is a personal choice and if someone is thinking of committing suicide I would want to help them make sure they want to to it. I might semi- try to change their mind, and might make a deal with them to give me one month to make them happy again, and if not I would gladly provide the gun or noose, whatever. After all if you care about someone enough you should be able to let them go.

Answer #12

Okay, where to start.. I guess I’ll start with number one.

  1. I believe that if people are gay then they are born that way.. Just like I was born straight they can be born opposite. If they find someone that they love and would like to spend the rest of their lives together then nothing should come in between that.

  2. I believe that anyone should have the right decide if they are ready to have intercourse as long as they have the ability to notice the possible consequences and what could happen. I am okay with it as long as they either know they want a child or are using protection.

  3. My opinion on the death penalty is I don’t believe it should be used. Killing another person will solve nothing. I would rather have them locked in a cell for the rest of their lives to think about what they have done.

  4. I believe abortion should only be allowed under certain circumstances. If a woman doesn’t want her child then she can give it up to adoption. I believe it should be legal if.. (a) The pregnancy will kill the woman and the child both. (b)Maybe if a woman is raped and gets pregnant.

  5. My view on this is very simple. Everyone should be able to follow their religion and not be harassed because of it.

  6. Well I need elaboration on this one but I prefer the working class having a say in things.

  7. I think suicide is the last answer. Try every method of preventing it if you can. There is always more reasons to live then to die.

Answer #13
  1. Gay and lesbian couples should be allowed to get married the same as straight couples. I really don’t see what the big deal is. They’re not hurting anyone.

  2. Sex before marriage is ok as long as you’re not having sex before you are physically and emotionally ready and both people involved are responsible and ideally, in love. There is no magic age or circumstance.

  3. I am pro-choice. I believe abortion should always be an option for those it is right for.

  4. I don’t think anyone really has the right to choose who should live or who should die, but when society created laws and punishments, people were given that right. If the punishment fits the crime, then so be it. I have to admit if someone murdered a family member, I’d be the first to want them to have the death penalty.

  5. Religion is a personal preference. What suits someone, may not suit someone else. Whatever religion you choose should fit what you believe. None of them have it all figured out.

  6. I don’t vote or get involved in politics of any kind. I don’t believe any of the politicians out there today are attempting to do anything other than line their pockets. Why vote when your options are a dumbass or a liar?

  7. I have a real problem with suicide. It’s the lowest form of narcissistic self-pity and pretty disgusting. If your life is so terrible, stop worrying about yourself and help others.

Answer #14

I’m going to go with suicide. If someone makes that decision, it is their choice. Quite honestly, I think that if someone hasnt ever truly been suicidal (I.e. at the point where they believed they were going to die and it was fine) then they have absolutely no right to say anything about this subject. As for, suicidal people being selfish. Uhm no. It’s their life and they have a right to do with it what they will. It is beyond selfish to demand someone stay alive because your feelings might be hurt if they die. Deal with it. Parents bring a child into this world, but the child has no choice. The parents have no right to ask that someone should suffer simply because they decided to procreate. If the person decides to die, it is their choice. Just because others cannot imagine what type of pain it would take for a person to decide to die, does not mean they have a right to judge. Quite frankly, I think it is beyond self centered to think you can judge someone in that much pain.

Answer #15

1)gay marriage- I think everyone has a right to marry the person that they love, regardless of it being the same sex or the opposite.

2)sex before marriage- If you are ready for the resposibilities that go along with having sex, and you use protection, I say go for it. Get an education about it first though. There are too many 14 year old girls getting pregnant these days.

3)abortion- Pro-life. You know, that radical belief that a baby is a living thing, not trash in a womans stomach. I hate women that decide to have unsafe sex and then kill the baby because they dont want to take resposibility for what they did.

4)death penalty- I dont really know. I dont really agree with the Death Penalty, cause it’s letting criminals off the easy way. I think they should be made to rot in their cells.

5)Religion- Whatever you want to believe, that’s your choice and no one elses. You should never try to shove your beliefs down someone elses throat. It’s rude and it usually makes the person not want to talk to you again.

6)Politics- Some of these politicians are absolute idiots.

  1. Suicide- selfish. painful for everyone around that person.
