What are you going to be Thankful for this Thanksgiving ?

The reason we celebrate thanks giving is so that we recognize what we have. Christmas is where we give to others. This thanksgiving I will thank GOD that my my son is 2 years old and still healthy and still likes me. I will also be thankfull that dispite the fact that we are in a struggling economy our standards of living are still much higher then that of any other country. How is being thankfull being selfish? So we should not appriciate what we have?

Wow, my list is pretty long…I’m grateful that I’m sober and clean…that takes top priority, as everything else would be moot if that wasn’t the case. That my husband loves me, and still thinks I’m “cute”…:). That we have a great daughter and a beautiful grand-daughter…that I have wonderful sisters and lots of neices and nephews…FAMILY.

I’m also grateful I have a good job, that most likely won’t fold or close or lay anyone offf…phew!

My Family, Friends, And The Roof Over My Head

My wonderful family, all my friends, my health, and the opportunities and experiences I’ve had in my life.

First I will be thankful for my family, then my health, then for my country and its wonderful choice as its next president, and then thankful that we will only have 8 more weeks of the smirking chimp sitting in the oval office.

I’m going to thank my heavenly father for all the friends I have especially my closest friend whoes like grandma. I’m also going to be thankful I have a place to live, a church to attend, the food I eat, water, my health, my clothes, thanking him for being there for me when I’m down, and thankful to have people around me that accept me for who I am This thanksgiving, I’m going to be spending it with my closest friend whoes grandma. I’m thankful to have her in my life. Heavenly father is precious so is his Son. I think he put us together since my precious friend whoes grandma has helped me through my family problems and such. I’m more then just thankful to have a person like her in my life.

I’d be thankful that I still have a home while in this messed up economy. I’d be thankful to God as well; He’s bought me a long way in the past year.

Oh really? Its thanksgiving already? We dont celebrate that in this part of the world, even for Christians like me.

Guess the Lord then…for everything he has given me

I am glad to be alive. And grateful be able to walk, talk, think, speak, and hear. I am grateful for the ability to see, to taste, to smell, and to feel. Some would give anything for these abilities.

I am grateful that I have a place to call home. for a roof over my head, food on my table, and shoes on my feet, I am grateful for this board, and for the ability to witness for my Lord.

I am grateful for my husband of 34 years, for my wonderful family, whom I love very much, for the freedom that we still have in the US and for the air that we breathe.

I am glad that my bills are paid, that I still have the ability to work and make a living, for color tv, radio, and air conditioning.

I am grateful for a peaceful election, for a God that loves me, For his Son that redeemed me, and for a home in heaven.

I am grateful for the bible, for the body of Christ, for truth,sincerity and passion. for people of integrity, and wisdom.

I am thankful for the love that I feel in my heart, and for the Jesus who put it there. I am glad that I will be able to be with my family on Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

I am glad we are able to celebrate Christmas. I am thankful for what Christmas represents. For the warm feelings that Christmas brings.

For the loving and kind and gentle souls that are in this world. for mercy, grace, and forgiveness. For the hope that lies within me, and for the spirit of joy.

I am grateful for my computer, and the internet, that allows me to share with you, this way.

I am grateful for the ability to share.

Personally I don’t think being thankful could ever be selfish…how could it? Being thankful just means that you’re happy about the things you do have (and when it comes to Thanksgiving most people are thankful for their families and friends).

Anyway, I am thankful for the beautiful family I have and that my kids(although they drive me crazy) are healthy. I am thankful that my mother (who is in kidney failure) is still fighting. I am thankful that my father is healthy. I am thankful for my nieces and nephews and my brothers and their wives. I am thankful that this year really wasn’t so bad.

Every Thanksgiving we try to do something to help the community and this year we are taking a Thanksgiving meal to a family that deserves it. I am also thankful that we can do this for this family, they really deserve it. A few months ago their house burned and they lost everything. They are now living in a one bedroom apartment and they have 5 kids. The father was burned and in the hospital up until a month ago. Giving them a Thanksgiving dinner isn’t going to make up for everything that they’ve been through but I’m hoping it at least makes that day easier for them.
