A well-formulated toner can help remove last traces of makeup, freshen your face, and soothe your skin. A toner is a completely optional step.

But always check the ingredients list stay away from toners that contain irritating ingredients, such as alcohol or menthol. There is never ANY reason to use irritating products on your face.

Foundation can be powder, liquid, liquid to powder, or cream/mousse, and it helps even out your skin tone, conceal redness and provide a smooth and even canvas for the rest of your makeup. Powder can be used on top of the foundation, dusted lightly to set it and absorb any excess oil so that your foundation stays in place longer. It can, however, clog your pores and create blackheads and acne, and it can worsen acne if you already have it. Make sure you wash it off immediately when you get home so it doesn’t sit in your pores and create blemishes. would recommend using a tinted moisturizer because it helps to even out your skin tone without looking really fake, like you’re wearing makeup. Also, girls our age tend to wear too much makeup and not blend it enough, so using lighter makeup will help you ease into a make up routine that works for you. If you have good skin, you don’t want to mask it-use tinted moisturizer (which can be found at any mass retailer or drug store), a transluscent powder dusted all over your face afterwards, a bronzer on the places that the sun would kiss your face (tops of cheekbones, top of forehead, bridge of nose and chin), blush on the apples of your cheeks, a shimmer powder on the tops of your cheekbones, browbone and inner corner of your eye, curl your eyelashes and use mascara. Then finish with lip gloss and you’ll look fresh and natural and not too overdone!
