What are the main provisions of the7th and 8th amendments?
I just need to know the the basics about the main provisions of the 7th and 8th amendments. a few simple sentences will do. thanks so much.
They both deal with the rights of the people to have trials by juries. The 6th amendment strictly deals with criminal prosecutions, and prevents the state from denying speedy and public trials, as well as protecting the right to counsel and having witnesses confront the accused. The 7th deals with civil trials, and protects the rights of the people to bring legal action against a civil violation.
