There are a few things you can do, you can of course color it or put highlights. If you do that, pick colors that would compliment your skin tone.

You can always try different ways to tie back your hair, a cute pony or a messy bun.

If you want to curl your hair there are a few ways to do it, and it can be tricky but it takes time. There’s one simple, easy and cheap way to curl your hair that I’ve done for a long time. —I know it will sound stupid, but it works!–

First, you’ll need paper bags.. like lunch paper bags Cut them into strips that are about an inch to an inch and a half wide, and about eight inches long. Wash your hair at night, and towel try your hair, make sure it’s DAMP..Having completely dry hair will NOT work. Now, take small sections of your hair and lay one strip horizontally across the bottom of the section of your hair. Wind the section of your hair around the strip of paper starting from the bottom to the top of your head. (This might sound confusing, but play with it for a bit to get the hang of it) Once you have reached the top of your head you’re going to need to make sure it stays in place, so gently take the ends of the paper strip and tie them together.

Next step is simple, just sleep with the strips of paper in your hair and in the morning gently unroll the strips of paper. REMEMBER!: The smaller the section that you wrap up the tighter the curl will be, and the larger the section, the looser.

After you’ve taken the strips out of your hair, you can choose to put a styling cream in your hair, and play with it until you like the way it looks. I know it sounds silly, but the outcome is beautiful.

Curling hair is a skill, and as with any skill it takes a while to master. So if you keep trying with curling, and get some friends to help/show you how, you will soon be able to curl your hair.

But here are some other ideas:

This may work, depending on how much elasticity is in your hair, You could put it in rollers when you have just washed it and it is wet. Your hair will dry to that new shape.

You could crimp it, or try braiding.

To make your hair different, you could put some colour through it. Or highlights or lowlights.

Last but not least you could get a perm. This would (depending on what size rollers you want) make your hair curly or wavy to any degree. You could have tight rinlet curls, or big curls. They can be expensive, but its worth it.
