Unfortunately my computer is in the shop. I am borrowing a friends hard drive box. It is an hp, 1ghz, 192 mb, 60.0 gb I know it is older and that probably is the problem but it had windows xp and I was hoping it would work for my daughter until ours in fixed

1g cpu, 192mb ram (you prob have 256 but the rest is shared with onboard graphics), 60gig hard drive…
yes, I doubt this would run the original sims properly :)
