Answer #1

Pray man I felt the same way and prayer really makes a difference.

I prayed for faith and wisdom and to lead me to trust him, just a bunch of other things like that and I prayed for God to teach me to pray.

I suggest praying about it.

If you don’t get that connection you are looking for in Christianity, perhaps you should explore other faiths until you find one that clicks with you. You can be a moral person without being a Christian person.

Answer #3

I love the fact that you want to find God! He says in his word, that if you seek him, he will seek you. Your confusion is completely understood. We live in an age and time where there are tons and tons of different messages all trying to get you to believe and put your faith in. Let me tell you right now that the only real dependable answers you will find is in Jesus Christ. Belief in Jesus is NOT some nieve, weakminded, simpleton aproach to life. There is evidence, and compeling reasons to put your trust in Jesus Christ. I am the type of person that must be convinced on the basis of facts and what I find is that the word “fact” can only make sense if there is a God. Many christians do them selves a dis-service by claiming everything is baised on faith, and the atheists love it because then they can belitle christians on the basis that all they have is a weak “fairy tale faith.” The truth is that there are compeling, powerful arguments for the existence of God and his Son Jesus Christ. I encourage you to pursue God like mad and check out some apologetics.(christian defense of the faith) RZIM.com and AIG.com are great places to start. I would also encourage you to read the Gosple acounts in the Bible and really focus in on the life of Christ I think you will be suprised. I certainly was! Please remember that in God’s word, He has proudly stated that he created you and loves you impossibly more than you could know. You are precious and your worth is imessurable no matter what anyone says. I hope you find what you are looking for!

Answer #4

My advice would be to not search out a “religion.”

Ask yourself what you believe and then pray…A LOT!

:)

Read your Bible and ask for guidance and look for deeper meaning in the texts.

I am sure God will lead you to what you need. Don’t give up!

Have faith and I will keep you in my thoughts.

Much love.

Before looking outward for your answer, you should look within. Quiet introspective through meditation could be a useful tool. The answer you seek can not be found on a internet posting board. Here, you could find the best way to bake a cake, or fix a light fixture.

Answer #6

Just be true to yourself let it go don’t push eventually it just might hit you what you are or how you can accept what you want to be but hey sometimes we’re jjust not what we want to be & must learn to accept that

Answer #7

nowadays thinking of terrorism is a good reason to find the grace of faith in Jesus Christ to be helpful in daily life

Exactly how is TERRORISM reason for being Christian???

Answer #8

HOney… if you are disappointing to anyone… then, they need to do some repenting.

Their job is to love you… and encourage you, to nurture you, and help you to find your way.

You can’t believe, until you believe. Its that simple. However, sitting under the word of God, and the annointing of the Holy Spirit, will bring you to a right relationship with God. It may take some time, but, just remain open, and continue to seek God, asking him to become real to you, to encourage you, to teach you and guide you.

His word says that he will, and everything that I have been thru in my life, since June of 1985, when he became real to me, also says that he will.

You have nothing to loose, and everything to gain.

God be with you.

I will be praying for you. (((hugs)))

Hey, don’t get bogged down in other people’s comments - tikita has asked a question and got some varied advice. Like her, I go with candiecane’s advice - Jesus says, ‘seek and you’ll find, knock and the door will be opened’, so He’s looking for people who question, seek and make an effort. He honours that effort - when we pray to know Him better He will come to us and let us know Him in our everyday lives.

Answer #10

“nowadays thinking of terrorism is a good reason to find the grace of faith in Jesus Christ to be helpful in daily life.”

Yeah, thats what I do. When I think about those towers falling, it is really helpful to think about a god who could have prevented it, but chose not to…

This is about the most ignorant comment I have ever heard coming from a supposed christian.

Answer #11

A life that is not controlled by ancient myths and superstitions, is every bit as meaningful as one that is - perhaps even more.

Don’t be afraid to leave it behind. There is life, and joy on the other side too.

Odds are that most of the people you think you’ll disappoint have gone through this as well. Peer pressure is one of the best techniques religions use to keep you from coming to your senses and walking away.

Answer #12

Hey. Well first of all, your very honest with yourself. That’s commendable. Secondly, you want to change. That’s even more commendable. Have you ever tried praying to Jesus and asking Him to reveal himself to you? I’m sure He will. He did it for me. Don’t feel bad because you are questioning your faith. That’s a good sign. It shows that God is tugging on your heart and wants to reveal something to you.

Answer #13

…yeah… have you read it?

Answer #14

ignorant comment?!?!?

Answer #15

orion I really want to be a follower of God but im just confused!

Answer #16

Answer #17

Anybody can be a moral person, but without being a follower of God; a Christian, you’ll not be in heaven.

Answer #18

Just Pray to God to reveal a more deeper christian!
