I doesn’t sound like you know much about dogs…so why are you thinking about breeding them?

I can tell you this…that GOOD breeders don’t breed either a female or male until they have reached maturity…for a small dog that is around 14 months…and large dog, 2 years. They also don’t breed until they have the parents completely checked for genetic screw ups…by a Vet.

So…if your male is still a puppy, it appears to me that you have a LOT of time to study genetics…and breeding…and decide then if your dogs fit the criteria of their breed well enough to contribute to that breed.

Just so you know…there are 4 to 5 MILLION dogs killed in sheltere here in the USA every year…that is one every 6 seconds. Do you really want to contribute to that?
