How to react to this ridiculous rumor?

Nice. The one time I get a rumor spread about me and it’s that I am a supposedly “lesbian” with my Best Friend!? Ugh… heres where it all began…

Today My BFF (ladydon) and I went to 5th hour and our friend Cathy said to us as we walked by her, “Somebody said something really mean about you two tesderday in English.” So Nikki and I were like, “What did they say? And who said it?” She said this guy named Kyle just asked the English class yesderday, “Hey did anyone hear the rumor about Chelsea and Nikki being lesbians?” (He didn’t say we were but he heard a rumor about it I guess and was just asking the English class.) So this girl named Heather said, “Well they do drive by my house together sometimes.” And Emily said, “Um so. Me and Krysta drive around together too and were not lesbians! That doesn’t make them lesbians…”

So now today we just laughed at it at first because it was totally rediculous to us, since we are both boy crazy. Neither of us have ever had a borfrined but we like em, let me tell ya that. So I know some people think its not true, because me and Nikki went to class today and were laughing, and Christian asked us what was funny, so we laughed and said, “Well apparently were lesbains.” And he said, “What? Who said that?” And we replied, “Heather.” (Because at that time we didnt know she didnt start it) So he said, “Yeah she says stupid stuff like that about me too, she’s dumb, just ignore her.” So we knew at least SOME people know its a total rediculous idea, but SOME probably think we are now. =( How do we react to this situation???!!! Help us please! Thanks!

Ha, it was those whres Paige and Heather. Lol. People have forgotten about it now I think… and we asked Kyle about it and he told us it was thooose two. glares with revenge* Lol, joke.

Dont pay attention to it.If you have to be tattletale if it gets worse so be it.But I wouldnt expect things like that to happen since rumors in school fly by.Good Luck!

I would not pay any attention to it. If you act like it bothers you it only makes it worse. The only thing that matters is you both know you are not lesbains. Give it time the rumor will pass.

Yes, this rumor is about me and here2help…and that’s all we do is laugh it off and joke around about it…but we are still upset about it…but we didn’t show it at school. We just laughed about the whole thing, at least a couple people think it’s ridiculous…but some others don’t…

It’s like some people look at us funny and some that we told it too just laugh and say, “yeah right.” But Iguess there are some people that just don’t know what to believe though.

don’t worry about it… most likely… people are just saying shi* to make you mad… to see your reaction. trust me, this sort of thing has happened to me… everyone will forget about the whole thing shortly.

Ignore it. And keep joking about it. If you react in a negative way you will be teased. I will give you an example of how my cousin got accepted and did let teasing upset him: My cousin when he was 17 (many moons ago) was/is overweight and was teased in junior high school. So what he did was when they teased him he said back “You really did not know I am Santa Claus so when Christmas rolls around I will know who is naughty or nice so behave” Well after that he became the most popular kid in school.

Of course now for 20 years he is an old married man with kids
