I am a gamer addict. I own the newest XBox 360 and play Halo all the time. Most people think this is strange.. firstly because I'm a girl, and secondly because I appear to be a "girly girl" from the outside. Some guys make fun of me for my Halo gaming ways :( But if guys can play, why can't I? I'm pretty darn good at it too! Is it strange for a girl to play video games?
NO! in fact "Gamer Girls" are becoming more and more common... as far as guys calling you strange or make fun of you it's because guys feel like they are the masters of the VG, and something about girls (or their girl friends) possibly being better then them... well it worries up for whatever reason... they are either making fun of you for this reason or they are crazy and really think there's something wrong with it.

Not at all. You will be surprised if a girl takes computers seriously they are the best in that. I have never seen a better programmer than a girl. In gaming as well it is the same. Nothing weird about it. If a guy underestimates a girl then he thinks its weird. Girls are at anytime better with computers, if they take it seriously.
hahaa well if it is wierd, then im pretty unusual :D i play halo,call of duty, resident evil, mario, and that stuff. and others too. But i don play too often now. youll mostly play it especially when youve got brothers who play them, its like..contagious.lol. sooo no, its not wierd at all.
not at all. when you have a brother and guy friends who play as much video games as mine do, it can rub off them. haha, there isn't anything wrong with being a "girly girl" and liking video games. it's all a bunch of stereotypical crap when people say it's weird for girls to do this.
Nah i play them.... My boyfriend loves it.... he can play his xbox360 and i wanna join so he doesnt need to give up his gaming time... alot of guys like girls that game.... i been gaming sence I was like 10 and love it...
naa its pretty cool, i know quite a few girls who play them and only ones a nutjob... big tip, never beat your boyfriend at call of duty or your relationship will never be the same :)
I don't think so. I know a number of them that play. You should not worry so much about what others think if you are not doing anyone or yourself any harm. Have fun and be yourself.
what luke said is true they girl gamers are becomeing alot more commen i have a ton of friends that are girls that i met by playing video games
