Is it weird to cosplay at a convention even if you aren't entering a cosplay contest?

I want to go to the London MCM Expo and cosplay and want to go as Aoi Nagisa from Strawberry Panic.

I was wondering if it would be a bit random to cosplay and not be in a cosplay contest, would it? :/

Not at all! A lot of people do that, its for fun. Its just like Halloween, you may be invited to a Halloween party, but you don’t have to be in a Costume Contest. Answer On!

No lol it’s not weird at all, trust me you’ll probably be the odd one out if you don’t cosplay. Whenever I go to conventions I always dress up and you’ll notice that basically EVERYONE is dressed up as well. It’s half the fun xD and you stand out a ton if you’re not in costume.

Haha noooooo Fanime con is always full of cosplayers, and I attend every year! Nothing but cosplayers actually. :] Not weird at all.
