Is it weird for a 24-year-old to go on a date with an 18-year-old?

I met a really kind, nice, gorgeous young lady the other day, and we really hit it off. The only problem came at the end of the conversation, when I discovered she was 18, and I’m 24. We seemed to really have a nice time talking, and have been emailing since then, and she seemed to drop a hint that she wanted to meet up and spend some time together in a more romantic light. I’m a bit weary to, though. I have no problem with the six year age difference, but the fact that she’s 18 and still is in High School makes me feel weird. If she was 20, and I was 26, it’d be no problem. I’d like to take up her offer and spend some more time together to see where it goes as we have so much in common, so many of the same interests, etc., but I guess I’m just worried what other people will think. Is it that weird, or am I just over-thinking it?

Over thinking bud go for it you may regret it if you don’t

Answer #2

Thanks. I think I’ll ask her to hang out at her place or mine so there’s no pressure on either of us and we can just organically chat and find out more about eachother.

I think you are over thinking. Six year age difference is not a problem actually. But I do understand, where you are coming from considering that she is a teenager. As an adult, the responsibility of managing things is at your hand. You should be the one must shows more responsibility in your actions.
