how much does a 1/4 gram and a 1/2 gram weigh?
bangs head on desk
You people make me cry sometimes.
How much does 1/4 gram and 1/2 gram of WHAT weigh? 1/2 a gram of neutronium is going to weigh a hell of a lot more than 1/2 a gram of hydrogen atoms. You can't measure weight if the only factor you have to go by is a measure of mass. Grams measure mass, not weight.
actually, this question is easy:
weight = force (gravity) x mass (kg)
force via gravity = 10 m/s2
mass = 1/4 gram = 0.25 grams = 0.00025 kg
weight = 10 x 0.00025 = 0.0025 kilograms or 2.5 grams.
So, there you have it. something with 1/4 gram of mass weighs 2.5 grams on earth.
I can't tell if that was supposed to be a joke or not, magnus1. If it was, it was brilliant. If it wasn't, it's really, really depressing.
this isn't a very specific question, but if you mean if you add them together, then they weigh 3/4 gram
well half of a half is would be 1/4 and half of that would be 1/8th...so it would weigh 1/8th of a gram
1/4 of a gram and 1/2 of a gram
