Would a webcam or a camcorder be better for filming YouTube videos?

It doesn’t have to be HD but nice quality. Any lighting suggestions as well?

That really depends on your specific webcam and your specific camcorders. There are some of both that shoot videos with fairly poor quality and some that are surprisingly good. I suggest you shoot a short video with both, see which one has better quality and then experiment with the lighting there because again, cameras are all different, and it depends on where you are shooting from, angle etc. Something else to keep in mind though, is you are doing something that requires moving from place to place, then camcorder, being portable would be better, if you are just doing a videolog type of video than a webcam, as long as quality isn’t horrible, could be sufficient and easier to use.

it depends if u have a good computer with a good webcam, if u dont have a cmputer with a webcam, you would use a camcorder. or if u have a smart phone, or any other phone with a video feature, you are able most likely able to upload a vieo with it. thats how i upload my youtube videos is through my iphone. if u have a laptop like mine, with a poor qualty webcam, i would sugest a camcorder.do a test through both, and see what one works better hope this helps!
