Wait or move on?

My boyfriend might be going to jail. He was with a friend of his and his friend had weed. My boyfriend got in trouble too though he doesn’t do that. He might be getting 4 years at the most… What do I do?? Stay with him.. Wait… Move on..

Move on- if he’s the good person you say he is, he’ll understand. And if he was only caught doing weed, and he’s expecting a 4 year sentence? He’s lying to you- flat out. Most states don’t even arrest on weed charges anymore (unless it’s really hefty). There was other stuff going on and that is his cover story to you. Sorry, but my dad’s in law enforcement, I’ve seen it happen a lot. You don’t have to make a decision now, obviously, you can wait it out and see- but if he’s hanging out with guys who are getting arrested and he’s getting arrested, maybe you should re-think how appropriate your relationship is. The charges MAY be dropped, and he MAY be able to stay with you- so I wouldn’t rush into anything. If he goes to jail though- nobody in their right mind would hold it against you for moving on. Afterall, you weren’t the idiot who got caught up in something illegal. :)
