How do i get the volume icon back on the task bar?

Click Start.
Click Control Panel (Or Control).
Depending on your operating system there should be an audio icon in the list just like the icon you see in the task bar. If not, look to the top-left of the Control Panel window and you should see a “Classic View” option. Click it and look for it again.
On the first window you should see a check-box like “Place volume icon in task bar”. Check it and click OK.

If all that comes up is a window with all grayed-out text, then you have an audio driver issue and you’ll need to send me a FunMail.
