Can a UTI (urinary track infection) cause a miscarriage?

i am 18 weeks and 4 days pregnant and the doctor told me i have a urinary track infection AGAIN for the 4th time.

Yes it can, but its not a commen occurance. Your doctor should have given you medicine for it, just take the meds, drink plenty of water, and relax. Ive had a urinary tract infection with mmy first pregnancy and with this one and the baby is fine. The harm comes from not treating it and it getting worse and spreading…you did the right thing by going to the doctor and your baby will be fine.

The 4th time since becomming pregnant? If so you should start drinking cranberry juice on a daily basis, make sure its not juice cocktail, and see if you can take a supplement for urinary health. Also remember to always urinate before and after sex, dont use harsh soaps, and make sure your guy is clean before doing the deed. Some people no matter what they do are prone to utis and yeast infections during pregnancy. As stated above they can onky cause problems if untreated. Hope you feel better soon!
