Answer #4

Laws and rules should be followed, our ancestors learned the hard way by being slaves and stuff. Thats why there is no more slaves. “Curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought it back.”

Answer #5

People always value liberty and free will. However, some laws, rules and guidelines imposing restrictions, are clearly advantageous - in which case we tend not to object. . I am sure that if you saw a sign saying: . “… The burning of babies is not allowed on these premises. …” . You would not get the urge to start burning babies. However, when you see a sign which seems to place an unreasonable restriction on your personal liberty . e.g. a sign stating . “… Keep off the Grass …” . on publicly owned “common land”, . It is logically reasonable to deduce that someone took it upon themselves to restrict your liberty to go on the grass, whilst allowing themselves ( or expecting someone else ) to go on the grass in order to erect the sign, or to cut the grass or to remove litter from it etc..
. It is completely understandable that people who value liberty should demonstrate active opposition to such things as slavery, subjugation or unreasonably imposed restraints as a matter of principle. . The urge to challenge, and act of disobeying an unjust or illogical restriction is a natural reaction - symbolically asserting one’s right to liberty, and free will. .

Answer #6

The Apostle Paul said “I do not understand my own actions because I do not do what I want to. But I do the very thing that I hate. …” Wanting to do the things we are told not to do is the very essence of human nature.

Answer #7

Why does curiosity make people slaves? Seriously…WTF.

Answer #8

You’re rebelling against the system? Like when someone says, “ew, something stinks.” People always take a deep breath. It just makes you curious to see what would happen if you don’t do what you’re told. When I was a toddler, my dad told me not to touch the grill because it was hot. You know what, I touched the hot grill anyway because curiosity got the best of me. But I haven’t touched a hot grill since. It’s like in inception, if you saw that movie. If I say don’t think about elephants, you’re going to think about elephants.

Answer #9

When you tell your brain not to do something, you are actively thinking about doing it so your instinct is to do it. Basically, just thinking about it translates as “do it”. The thing that’s meant to stop you doing it is your conscience! (It just depends on whether you have a good one…)

Answer #10

very very true! Its the ones that scream “Duh” i obey but i have a good laugh. Like “Don’T cross the barrier for the lions den” “dont hold the chain on a chain saw WHEN IT IS ON” The insulting ones make me angry. Like “long hair freaky people need not apply” and then there are serious one that are there for our safety. like “No Entry” But then there are the ones that just get the better of my curiosity or liberty as you say. Like “Do not remove this Tag” or “Do not throw coins in this fountain”
