Why is the US so uptight when it comes to sex and nudity?

I would have done the modeling :) I spent half my life at free beaches and nudist camps, and I guess I never paid much attention to what other people thought. I never took a single person to the beach who went thinking they’d get nude…..but every one of them did :). Nude bodies are pretty easy to get desensitized to.

I went to nude beaches in Europe as well. That’s how I knew I wasn’t too modest when I saw the art model listing on my college job board.

It has become to much of a taboo. In his book Titled “On Killing” LT. COL. dan Grossman uses sex as an analogy with Killing on the Battlefield. In short he describes that 60 years ago it was not uncommon for the average family to kill there food. Who kills there food today? We are so far removed from killing that the actual act itself has become taboo. It is no wonder our soldiers have struggled on the battlefield. Sex, has been made taboo in our society. 200 years ago or more most families were crammed in one or two room houses and the kids were subject to the moans and groans of relatives “getting it on”. In todays world that would be considered child abuse. I think Spam is right. We created this. I lived in Germany and of course I hit the nude beaches, (Of course I am kind of an exhibitionist’), plus I am intrigued by female anatomy. :) We could loosen up. In Portland Oregon, Where I am from we just had Our anual nudist bicycle ride. Go For It!! We need to loosen up a bit. Maybe if there was less oppression there would be less sex crimes. Who Knows.
