Haha no offense breakingfan but I have read a lot about school shootings and they are horrible! I have never heard of a schools hooting in Canada… BUT there were these horrible bastards who killed kindergardeners in China.

well im not saying we have a great school system, security sucks lol, my school had a bomb threat all the threats nothing happened.

Yeah! I go to a private school here and last year we had all these warnings about the kid-stabbers. We have a gate and security guards.

There are many problems with US public education. Most of the decision makers send their kids to ritzy private schools so they design public education based on what they believe lower socioeconomic classes need. Many of the recent directions public education has taken was driven by non-educators. Noting that other countries assign more homework than the US our teachers started to assign repetitive mind-numbing busywork. “Free Market” ideologues believe that competition drives excellent and came up with the idea of penalized under-performing schools bu cutting their funding. The metric for success in US publlic schools are scores on standardized tests so now schools are more concerned with how well kids test than if they are educated. The model of education in the US is filling young minds with sufficient information when it should be to ignite their imagination, problem solving, and creativity.
