Ughhh.. Why are Parents such a pain in the butt.?

Okay so, about 2 days ago, I went out with my friend to a play in downtown phoenix. My parents were “supposedly” with the idea that my friend’s mom was going, and then she ended up not going at the last minute. So, obviously I didn’t bother telling my parents because we were going with her brother that is 19 years old. Really, I don’t see the problem in that. So, we went out to eat at Denny’s and everything and I came home at around, 11:00 or 12:00. I Told my parents how it went [which I probably shouldnt have told them] and they started freaking out on me. They said that I shoudnt be out with a minor and “This” and “That” so I eneded up grounded for “Lying” to them. Do you think this is lying??

I dont think its lying because they never asked you after you left again, so not lying but you should have called them in my opinion, so you should have been talked to and told why they diddnt like that but I dont think you should have been grounded

your saying they were mad at you just because your friend’s brother was going with you guys? ok I have to agree with you that your parents ( no offense ) sorta are a pain. well then again, my parents would probably freak out too. maybe they were freaked out because they felt more comfortable having you go with your friend’s mom rather than her brother
