why are (most) cops complete douche bags

Heh.. Now that I read the responses before and after me. I bet most of you are the people who make the cops ticked and therefore put yourself in more trouble and make it harder on others when the cops have to do what the law states while in a bad mood cause of you.. :/

…The reason lights are not on when they do that is a SILENT DISTRESS call. Like if someone breaks into a home a silent alarm alerts police and they enter in stealth mode to catch the people before they know they are even there. I don’t see why you idiots think cops are bad. You Yell at them call them pigs and such, Why do you think they give you so much trouble when you sit there attempting to act like a gangster. Tell you what. When your being shot at beaten assualted or something that requires police or swat. How much do you think your gonna want them then?

I think most cops are acutally pretty good. I’ve had good and bad experiences, but when I needed help, the cops were generally great. Often what happens it that people remember the bad experiences and forget the good. I got a speeding ticket one time from a cop, who checked out my bike and discussed bikes with me for another half hour - I felt no animosity towards him. On the other hand, I got a warning one time, but not until the cop had me imprisoned in the back of his car for over half an hour as he tried to get me mad enough to hit him. Yeah, a warning for no taillights in a dense fog - I shouild have got a ticket, but instead I got a warning and a hate on for that cop. There are the good and the bad, just like with everybody!

In my opinion, cops are as you ‘say’ they are because they know they can do whatever to or with you becuase they literally control and enforce the law and thus you are a victim to their insensitive crimes of misjudgement. My father is a very wise man, and he says (quote)-Police are the last gang-(unquote). He told me this meant that when all other gang crimes have ceased, they are and will the last survivors becuase most of them are racist, prejudgemental, careless, and most of them do illegal drugs from drug traders too (bribe). So in a way, yet, cops are as you say they are, but only the ones you see flashing behind you are in other words…

Because they think that just because they’re cops they can do whatever they want to. Cops around here a f*cking idiots! They run stop signs, speed, run red lights, etc… and NO they’re lights aren’t on. One pulled out in front of me one time and almost hit me. I was like WTF?! Your a COP and your driving like that?! If that was ME doing that to YOU, you’d pull me over! They don’t do their job very well most the time either. There could be a cop sitting in plain view and someone could go speeding right past them and they’d just sit around and do nothing about it. That’s why I don’t like most cops - they don’t do their jobs and think they rule the world.

Well. You can’t blame the cops blame the job. Look at it like this. The cop gets on patrol and leaves their family. Good day good start be nice. All you need is a single guy to be smart with the cop before he gets to you to make his day bad, Make him angry and therefore that carries over to everyone else he meets on his way for the rest of the day. What I am saying is don’t blame the police, Blame the civillian that is smarting off to the cop earlier and putting him in a bad mood. All they are trying to do is their job, And people think their word is law like people who run the traffic light, Call the cop a pig then try to talk like a gangster… Yeah dunno about you but if I was that cop it would take all my will power to not taser him let alone keep a somewhat neutral attitude during the day after that.

they’re doing their job… I’m scared to death of cops.. but I know they have to be tough, look tough, and if they’re not, put on a tough act.. otherwise… the cops will be shot down extremely easily… or ran away from on foot.. or bad things I guess you could say.
