I use temporary, non-ammonia dye. It lasts for about a month, or 28 washes, more or less depending on your hair type. It's very safe and non-damaging, and can even be good for your hair, as the dye is like shampoo when you apply it, and moisturizes and cleans your hair very well. Ammonia is the main chemical in most hair dyes that is extremely damaging to your locks, especially the more you use it. The only problem I have with non-ammonia dyes is that with most brands, the selection of colors is relatively limited. For example, I use L'oreal, which only has about ten non-ammonia choices. Thankfully I have found a color that I love, but if I want to switch it up, I will probably have to find another brand. Hope this is helpful!

I think Garnier is suppose to have good hair dye for your hair that won't damage it so much. But i don't really know considering I've never dyed my hair :|
I've dyed my hair a lot, and really no dye is "safe for your hair", but Splat is the worst in my opinion. It damaged my hair so much.
the only "dye" i've ever used on my hair is kool aide lol :) and it doesn't have chemicals like highlighters and dyes have.
Manic Panic, temporary. :/ But it's completely Vegan.
No hair dye is "safe" for your hair.
