Turtle Owners
So I just found a turtle and I am waiting for my boyfriend to get home bc he wants it. til then I dont know what to do with it.It seems to like the water but what do I feed it etc? Please give me some tips! I have only ever had dogs.lol

Depending on the part of the country you live in owning a wild turtle is illegal. Box turles are not very good pets. The have a limited territory and do not do well if removed. I personally own a Russian Dessert Tortoise. They are affectionite, intelligent creatures that enjoy wandering around the house. You do realize that turtles are very long lived creatures (similiar to parrots) and will need YEARS of care?

The food it requires depends on the type of turtle it is. Some eat seafood, and others are herbivores. You’ll need some pellets from the pet store.
