Tuna while pregnant

I am 7 weeks pregnant, is it ok to have Tuna w / mayo as long as it is every now and then??

well I know that its safer then most but I don’t know my doctor didnt want me eating it.. and now that my son is 20 months he was just allowed to start having it and he’s not even allowed to have that much because of the mercury…and your welcome

I mean, I know that certain fish is high in mercury but I have heard that tuna is one of the safer ones as long as you limit to a can or two a week at the most. Thanks for your input.

you really shouldnt. because of the mercury in it… its not good for the baby! I know it sux because thats what you want but its just not good for the baby

If you eat tuna that is grown in the wild, that has no mercury it would be safe. You can find this kind of tuna at health food stores.
