What causes trees to turn colors in autumn?

is it the cold, or lack of water over the summer?

Answer #1

It’s the lack of chlorophyll…because of reduced sunlight and water, the chlorophyll (which makes the leaves green) is unable to produce.

Answer #2

I agree =)
