Treatment for psoriasis?

Any recommended treatment of psoriasis on the scalp and elbows? Preferrably not by people selling products themselves

Answer #1

You need an RX. Go to your doctor. S/he can get you on an oral pill and a creme that will help dramatically. (I sometimes get psoriasis on my shins or neck area and have experience with this.)

Answer #2

I use Alphosyl 2in1 shampoo (a GlaxoSmithcline product) seems to keep mine at bay. Then Linotar for the body seems to work for me…you just gotta be persistant because it smells revolting.

Answer #3

dry flakey skin, its real itchy sometimes Every time a product is suggested it never seems to work anti dandruff stuff does not help at all for the record

Answer #4

what is it like? dry skin? if so use E45 for skin and E45 shampoo for scalp

Answer #5

The best creams for it are those prescribed by your doctor, my boyfriend has it and none of the over-the-counter stuff worked.
