I just got my tragus peirced a couple of days ago; and it did hurt. much more then a cartilege. I didn’t move or scream or anything but it just hurts. ..but then again I have a low pain tolerance level its really important to get it done with a needle though. and it cost me about 70 dollars

How much pain will be involved is all about how much pain you personally can handle. Be sure to go to a good, clean, PROFESSIONAL piercing place to get it done. As for the cost, call up the place you picked out and ask them about it.

it didnt hurt to terribly bad, theres just a lot of pressure. Although and the tattoo shop that I had mine done they used a straight needle, mine turned out great! paid about $30 here in the states. I dont think that you can use a gun to do that…

I got my tragus pierced with a gun about 2 years ago and it’s abolutely fine. I didn’t think it hurt at all, and I have a low pain tolerance…it was just more of an uncomforable ache which I felt after it was pierced. surprisingly, I found that it actually hurt less that when I got the cartilage at the top of my ear done. I’ve heard that getting it pierced with a gun hurts less too.

It did however, take a while to properly heal which I expected with getting it pierced with a gun, but it wasn’t too uncomfortable.

Now it’s fine and doesn’t hurt at all, though I haven’t actually changed the bar since I got it done (just because I’m squeemish!)

I know it’s recomended to not get it pierced with a gun, but if you’re short on money (which I was) I don’t see a big problem with it as mine’s been fine. It may have shattered my tragus cartilage as the gun’s suppowed to, but I haven’t noticed a difference in it, and even if it has it’s not going to affect you at all.

I dont know how much it would cause there, I’m from the us. Although I will tell you, that it is going to hurt. That’s a think piece of cartlige to go through, way thicker than the top piece of your ear. So be prepared. I’ve seen a lot of girls at our shop have a hard time with that one. They wont do it with a gun at a replicable shop though, they have to use a piercing needle it’s too thick.

I just got my tragus pierced today( while also getting an industrial piercing) and I have to say that it hurt more than the industrial. It took the guy about 15 min. to get the ball in the loop and it HURT! I was so excited anyway that I almost liked the pain, bu that’s just me. But I am still happy I got it and it looks really nice.

I got both my cartlidge and my tragus done with a gun and theyre both fine. either way your still having something shoved through your ear whether it is a gun or needle

Answer #9

Tragus peircings are not sore, the more you want it the more you put like a pain barrier up. Its not like going to the dentist or something because its you’re own choice and you know how much it’ll make you happy and perhaps feel more individual. Most places I’ve heard of (in Scotland) usually do them for £25-£30 including the stud so its not to bad. Honestly, getting it done with a needle is no biggy, I could hardly feal it and the outcome was brilliant. Make sure you let it heal before changing the stud though :)

Whatever you do don’t get your tragus done with a gun. Some places do do that. I got mine done that way and it migrated out of my ear. The only thing keeping it in my ear was a thin layer of skin; you could see the ring through my ear as if my skin wear transparent. Now all that I have left is a huge scar. :[ So be wise when deciding where and how you get it pierced.
