Too much pain!!

I’ve got really bad period pains im nearly in tears it hurts soo muchh Is there a way of gettin rid of them??

Answer #1

If you’re already on the pill then you could try going on a different one. I’m on mycrogynon30 and that works well for me. But otherwise talk to your doctor about other regular medication options.

Answer #2

I eat bananas because cramps are basically muscle cramps due to the low levels of potassium in your body. This may sound weird but it works for me and several of my friends. For me painkillers don’t work but they may for you.

Hope I helped! :D

Answer #4

yep im onthe pill , it doesnt affect myperiod at all tbh. I’ve tried pain killers and the weather is just too hot to have heat on me :(

Answer #5

yeah hot water bottle/some kind of heat source on your tummy. also taking painkillers, paracetamol with codeine is the best, mainly because of the codeine rather than the paracetamol.

Answer #6

I used to have pains to the point where I couldn’t move. I tried some specialised painkillers…can’t remember the name but they did nothing! Especially as they were the ones which you took when needed and my period pains would last 30minutes at the most each time so by the time the medication kicked in the pain had gone!! So I went on the pill and it did wonders! Seriously I hardly get any pain anymore! But I know it doesn’t work for a lot of people. May be worth a try though. See your doctor/gynae and they will go through the options for medication. In the meantime buy a hot water bottle or microwavable cushion and these can often help ease the pain but are only really useful at home.
