What do you think of how today's vampires are protrayed in comparison to how they were protrayed 30-40 years ago?

Answer #1

Sparkly, sensitive, pretty boy vampires as opposed to creepy, floaty ones with scary accents. I like the middle stage of Angel (David Boreanaz <333). Old style was too weird, and new is desirable but not very good vamps tbh. Angel’s just perfect, ‘cause, like, he’s Fiiiiiiiiinee ;)

Answer #2

Now there quite romanticized, there not the hard core scary creatures they were once upon a time ago.

Answer #3

i hate the perception of vampires nowdays. effin twilight ruined it! i liked being creeped out by it.. pointy ears, red eyes, black slick hair..

Answer #4

The current version is way to gothic and not scary enough. Producers create the vampires too modern and hip, living like humans. The golden day vampires, were more scary, and believable. We downloaded Bram Stoker’s Dracula last year and it was the best vampire movie ever. The guy who played Count Dracula is what I think all vampires should be, awesome, scary, crafty and with superb powers….You wouldn’t want to spend a night at his castle for sure.

Answer #5

The way I see it I’m kinda happy that they had changed the way they portray vampires. First off when you watch like the really old vampire movies like Dracula and that other crap from so many years ago the vampires are plain ugly as hell. I’m sorry but it’s true. The vampires and actors who protray them today are way hotter and being hot just suits a vampire. That’s what makes them so alluring. And I also feel that it’s good to change stories and concepts. I think it would get boring and get old too quickly if they just told the same story about vampires over and over. It’s good to change it up a little bit.

Answer #6

I hate how they changed it. Monsters=scary, not sexy.

Answer #7

It does not matter to me how they portray them, so long as they don’t sparkle in the sun, that just drives me crazy, I absolutely hate Twilight and there stupid vampires my god. Drives me crazy! Vampires are suposed to burn up in the sun, not sparkle.

Answer #8

…….so it does matter to you?

Answer #9

nope, they can look however, as long as they dont sparkle
