If you’ve had this puppy for a minimum of three weeks, and you still haven’t gotten shots for it…then you’re taking a HUGE risk in losing this pup to Parvo or Distemper…

Sit down, look up “Veterinarians” in the yellow pages of your phone book. Start calling them to find out what they charge for the puppy shots…They DO vary…take puppy to Vet, and get the first shot…in two weeks (I think) you get another shot…and two weeks after that, the last shot. During this time…DO NOT take him to public parks, or let him run around where other dogs are…that’s how Parvo is spread…by the time he’s had his second shot, you can start taking him places…but NOT before.

While you’re there, the vet will give the pup a “once over”…check his heart, his ears, his temperature…a wellness check…it kinda comes with the territory, when you get the puppy shots.

The pup threw up 3 times in 3 weeks, so that makes me think he either had gotten a little over hungry…or got into something, even grass will make them puke…

TAKE THIS PUP TO THE VET…

The only one who can tell you if your puppy is healthy is a veterinarian! You need to get her in for her shots soon, because you are taking a big risk with diseases like Parvo, Distemper, etc… Make sure that until the puppy has all of her vaccinations, that you don’t take her to public places around other dogs.

I just don’t understand people? Puppy vaccinations are NOT EXPENSIVE!

A puppy has it’s mother’s immunities until they are about 6 weeks of age after that they can and will get sick with any number of diseases. THAT is why people get their dogs vaccinated. NOT for the fun of it or because they have money so they just do it.

THEY DO IT BECAUSE THE PUPPY WILL DIE WITHOUT PUPPY SHOTS!! THEY ARE NOT EXPENSIVE!!!

As Phrannie said get your pup to a vet now.

Where did you get your puppy? Did it have it’s first vaccination from the breeder? Or was this a back yard breeding?

Your local SPCA might be able to help and supply you with an inexpensive Vet. In Memphis, there are Vets who charge $185 for yearly shots (yikes) all the way down to $50.
Pet ownership does cost money. But if you shop around you usually are able to find the lowest cost.
