Why can a woman still get it? How common is this?
Mine hasn't been regular this last two month now. Hence why I'm wondering what the difference between that and spotting is. My last period was totally cramp free and so far, this one is too. Barely any bleeding with the last one and shorter than normal. So far, this one seems to be the same too.
If it is shorter than your normal period, and it is very light bleeding with no cramps, then it is spotting not a period. If it was heavy, and lasted longer, with cramps then it would be your period.
^^ To add to what coleen said - its also not a "period". I period is old blood and an egg that is beng shed, if a woman bleeds during her pregnancy its not a period, its spotting or just blood
In rare cases, women have actually managed to have significant bleeding (not heavy) throughout their pregnancies. This is very uncommon and is often a sign of trauma.
I have heard of women not missing a single period throughout their pregnancy. A normal 3-7 day period throughout the whole pregancy. But it is very rare.
Spotting is very, very light, lasting a very short time, and no cramps. Period is medium to heavy flow, 3-7 days, and most of the time comes with cramps.
Now I know that's off cause I know woman who still had a period or two while they were pregnant. Not, spotting, but an actual regular normal period.
Angel, how did your sister discover she was pregnant then? Did she have a regular period for those two months or was it lighter?
i don't know but my sister is pregnant and she is 5 months and was steal getting her period when she was 2 months .
None. A woman may experience spotting while pregnant and mistake it for her period but its not the same.
So, what's the difference between a regular period and spotting?
lighter......... and she was getting bigger and trowing up alot
