When is the best time to buy a MacBook Pro?
I am hoping to get a MacBook Pro sometime in this next year. Right now I have a Dell laptop, and have never used a Mac before. Is it better to buy sometime in early June, when I have time to learn how to use it? Or is it better to get it on Black Friday? I will probably have to pay for all of it, so I want the cheapest option. I’m a sophomore in high school right now, at a private school. Also, does the education discount apply to me? Or is that only for college students and teachers? Thanks!!!
You might find some good deals Black Friday or right after some of the electronic expos you might be able to pick up last years model for a good price. As for any educational discounts check Apple’s website.
Although IMO for the price I feel you would be better off getting a good Asus or iBuyPower laptop.
I did a fair amount of research two years ago and got a Dell. Unfortunately, it weighs almost 6.5 lbs and is so awkward for school that I don’t use it. The only reason I didn’t get a MacBook Pro in the first place is b/c I thought it was out of my price range. I really want a much lighter computer with a smaller screen (13” vs. 16”). I know I will be bring it to school a lot starting in 2013, maybe even earlier, when I start my junior year.
right now in January is the best month to buy electronics cus the prices go down on last years models to make room for the next best thing
