If people had a 50% chance of getting cancer from the pill, no one would be on the pill and a lot of people would be dead… (where are you getting that statistic from anyways?) Talk to your doctor about risks and side effects (since you’re going to have to go to the doctor anyways to get the pill).

I don’t know what type of BC you are planning to take, but it does not higher your risk of cancer by 50%, love. It does however higher the risk of heart attack or stroke, but most medications do that, too.

The odds of you getting cancer from birthcontrol are highly unlikely. I have yet to hear of a case of anyone getting cancer due to the pill or any of its subsidaries.

the statistics you have are false as ty says but if your family has a family history of breast cancer that can increase your chances of getting it because it needs eastrogen to grow, and birth control pills main ingrediant is to produce more eastrogen so if you have a family history of it perhaps discuss a different form of birth control however people dont ahve a 50% risk of cancer by talking the pill otherwise it wouldnt even be legal

Don’t take it for long periods of time…it does make you gain weight because it slows down your metabolism.
