Does The Pill differ in effectiveness?

Is a low dose birth control pill less effective that that of the other? I was just wondering, I know some friends that have been taking the “pearl” and they have all experienced heavy bleeding during periods, that’s not the reason for my curiosity though, I just want to know if the pills differ in effectiveness. Fast replies would be much appreciated, please and thank u

Not a fast reply, but, all birth control pills are pretty much the same as far as their effectiveness goes. Where they can vary widely is in the side effects they produce in different women. For instance, a particular brand that decreases sex drive in one woman, may not effect her friend’s sex drive. The thing to do is realize that if your particular brand is not satisfactory, there is almost assuredly another that will work better with your body’s chemistry.

Pills do differ. I would definitely either do some online research on the topic, or speak to a professional (your doctor).
