Does THC need to get hot to work?

Someone told me that you need to have THC heat activated before you get high. So like just eating leaves won’t get you high because they hadn’t been activated yet. But when you smoke it gets burned and activated.
Is this true? If it is what is the temperature?

No it’s not heat activated. . . when you eat it less enters your blood stream but more is stored in fat cells. . . Basically you get stoned slower and are more likely to go to sleep. . I quite using over 7 yrs ago but was heavy into it for 17 yrs. . . . . .

well chemical reactions happen faster at higher temps so combining thc with fat and heating it allows it to combine with the fat better so you get higher like in cookies or thc pills… I think; im just really like chemistry just do some reasearch and if you can prove me wrong cool if not im pretty certain im right
