He never texts me first, should I stop texting him?
There’s this guy I like, and I text him all the time. He answers as soon as I text him (like within minutes) but he is NEVER the first to say hello. When a conversation starts, it can carry on for a couple hours and stay pretty interesting. But, I’ve heard that if a guy really is interested then he will contact you. Should I stop texting him and wait for a response, text less in general, or muscle through it all?
Just stop texting him first and see what happens.
You are 18, I am guessing he is also about 18. Just go up to him and tell him you like texting with him, but you would like for him to start first sometimes. Just a simple “Hello, how was your weekend?” would be great. Say it in a nice friendly way. Guys are clueless. And for most things we need obvious clues to learn anything. If you just stop texting him he is liable to think that you have lost interest in him. (Just disappearing is a ‘guy’ trick - teen or not. We just try avoiding contact hoping the gal will give up and go away.) At least that is my opinion. Good Luck!!
He may just be someone who likes to talk to people but is too lazy to text first or is too nervous.
maybe he feels he would bug you? cause ive always been that way like even with my best friend i would never text her first ha idk why i just feel like i would bug her or anyone if i texted first… but now idc haha if i wanna talk to someone i will text them but if they never text me first i feel the dont care….. so maybe dont text him and see if he texts u or maybe just ask him why he dosent or be like i was just wondering why you never text me first cause it would be nice to hear from you first for a change
