Telling my mom about a miscarriage

Ok so just the other night I got a blood test back saying that I wasn’t pregnant. But before that I had every sign of being pregnant, including nausea, low-back pain, headache, and swollen breasts. A day or so before I got my blood test done I started having bad cramps and bleeding. My doctor told me that half of miscarriages occur before it can even be proven that the mother is pregnant so both my doctor and I are sure that I had a miscarriage. I’m pretty distraught and I need someone to talk to…how should I go about telling my mom this?

Answer #1

My condolences. I agree with lifeseeker42 entirely.

Answer #2

Answer #3

Oh my goodness I feel so sorry for you, usually when you have a misscarrage you’ll see grayish stuff mixed with the blood.. Im so sorry for you loss you should get to a doctor ASAP, because if you leave it as is.. you might not be able to have more kids.. Just say you have something very important to talk to them about and tell them they will understand … you need them right now. its a hard time to deal with by yourself

Answer #4

You just have to tell her simple as that. sit her down and explain the situation I am sure she will comfort you. Remember that it is not the end of the world. I know it will be hard but there are plenty of other chances to have children in the future.

Answer #5

Mom should love and comfort unconditionaly. never forget that. tell her that you want to schedual yourself in her day plan to talk for a while. maybe go on a drive that way you dont have to look at her constantly. it is easier. honesty is always best especialy when it regards your health. good luck. this is not easy but it will be fine and things will get better.
