CAN SOMEONE TELL ME?? WHY ARE TEENAGERS SO OBSESSED ABOUT SEX???

The have many hormaones rushing thru ther systems to they feel the need to use them - sex, kissing, fooling around. not all teens are obsessed but the majority are because they are dating and usually when you are dating guys one thing leads to the other.. the try it for the first time and because the loved it so much, thats all the will think about :)

Well, when you go through puberty you aquire fertility because your body starts producing steroid hormones and because you’re not used to such high levels of these hormones its quite overwhelming. Also, adolescence is a time where risk taking behaviour sets in and you want to try new things. This is something which is seen in all species actually, its quite interesting.

I blame it partly on the media. Sex is everywhere anyone looks when they turn on the tv, look at a magazine or go online. Teens are highly susceptible to peer pressure and the need to fit in because they aren’t sure who they are…if they see their favorite performer or famous role model dressing provocatively, talking about having sex, promiscuity etc, they are more prone to want to engage in the same type of behavior. Becoming sexually aware is a natural process that can be confusing and overwhelming for today’s teens whose everyday lives are saturated with preconceived notions about the fun and glamour of sex.

Foods are hormone induced now. TV, movies, internet all show people younger and younger into sexual situations.

Hormones..plus sex is something new and exciting and its taboo. Im young enough to still remember my teenage years pretty well and i remember being facinated with sex because it was something you werent suppoed to do.

they want to do whatever we tell them they shouldn’t do, like drink and swear and have sex!

Where ya been? Teenagers have been obsessed with sex since the beginning of time….

they are just curious about the sexual life..and their changing body ..yes hormones do play an important role in it.. :)

What ages are we talking here? In Britain you are generally considered an adult at 18, so we dont refer to people above that age as ‘teenagers’.

During the teenage period, the two most important sex hormones, testosterone and estrogen become active. In addition, the brain releases lots of dopamine and oxytocin in teens.

Hormones, pretty simple really. Colleen said it best. Teenagers want to have sex because our body urges us towards those behaviours. Which is fine if you are mature enough to handle sex, and smart enough to protect yourself.

we arent. weve just discovered something good at a young age..not a crime..just sometimes there are consequences..

beacuse these days lust = love and instant gratification is common place. after all, why wouldn’t you want to get a STD or get pregnant? (p.s. i need to correct my profile age - I’m 17. not 42 LoL)

just ‘cause you can do something doesn’t mean you should… i mean, i could go off and get wasted and hit somebody while driving, but that doesn’t mean i should… it’s called self control (you know, like NOT throwing the computer even though you REALLY want to)

yeah… but they didn’t have condoms at the beginning of time… rather lessens the aversion, dontcha think?

Because it’s new and exciting. We’re told we can’t do it, although we believe everyone else is doing it. And they tell you it’s soo good. Our hormones are raging to encourage us further, evolutionary speaking we are the best age to conceive. But, you will discover it’s not all it’s hyped up to be. Just find someone you love and care for, been with for at least 6 months and then enjoy sex safely (condoms & birth control).

well im a teenager and people(teens)like it bcuz it help them fit in plus 6us teenager are curios and we put whatevers in our mouth just like baby but to tell you the truth im still a vrginbut shhh
